Our Story
Ẹ̀gbá means Great. It is a name that carries weight, pride, and legacy. When placed before anything, it becomes a marker of excellence; of identity that speaks its own language and wears its own style. A platform created to express greatness through culture, fashion, and lived heritage.
"A culture fashion movement that stands at the crossroads of style, tradition, commerce, & exchange. This is Egbaliganza"
- Lai Labode Heritage Foundation

Heard at Egbaliganza
Real people, real stories, real reactions. Witness Statements In Their Own Words.
Egbaliganza 2025 was unlike anything I’ve seen before, Abeokuta truly came alive with culture and style. The blend of tradition and modern expression, from fabrics to presentation, felt like a celebration of who we are as Egba people.
Seeing Egba attire worn with such confidence and elegance reminded me that our cultural heritage still resonates deeply. It wasn’t just fashion, it was pride woven into every fabric and bead.
What stood out was how the event brought people together, from local designers to dignitaries and families. Everyone wore their culture with intention, and it felt like Egba identity was centre stage.
Egbaliganza changed the way I see culture in motion. It wasn’t just costumes or colours, it was a carefully curated celebration that honoured our history while connecting us to new possibilities
